Massimo Poldelmengo takes part in RE-INCITE, a European project of the Interreg Alpine Space programme promoted in Friuli by Cluster COMET: artists and local metalworking companies turn industrial waste and machining residues into works of art. His work, Tracce di Memoria (Traces of Memory), is a vertical structure in steel, resin, iron filings and cable fragments. The project ends in autumn with a final contest.

Artist residency

Artist residency at Theke Museum: La porta di Canova

October 2026

Theke Museum, Pasiano di Pordenone (PN)

Massimo Poldelmengo has completed an artist residency at Theke Museum, where two works of the series La porta di Canova (Canova's Door), A and B, were made. Two trapezoidal wings in white Corian, hand-incised and divided by a vertical slit, rest on a black Corian slab. At the centre, a threshold of three Venetian enamel tiles in gold leaf by the Fornace Orsoni, from the mid-1970s (courtesy of Caterina Furlan); in each wing, a Maelzel metronome in burnt wood. The title refers to Canova's cenotaph in the Frari basilica in Venice.
